In Spain, the members of this family distinguished themselves in the Orders of Santiago, Calatrava, Alcantara, Montesa, Carlos III and Saint John of Jerusalem (it is a military religious order founded in the 11th century). A branch of this House moved to Italy, precisely to Sicily, with an Antonino Vicente, commonly called Vincenzo, who followed Frederick II as a military leader and who was created in 1330 rescue captain of the Valley of Mazzara and of the militias of Trapani.
