Acuti, quite rare, has a strain in Travo in the Piacenza area, one in Bondeno (FE) and one in Fabriano in the Ancona area, Acuto, typically Piedmontese, from Asti and Alessandria, and has strains in Grana (AT) and, in Monferrato , in Valenza, Mirabello Monferrato and Casale Monferrato, should derive from the Latin cognomen Acutus of which we have an example in this ancient Latin tombstone: "Deae Hariasae / Ti. Ulpius Acutus du [p (licarius)] al (ae) / Sulp ( icianae) sing (ularis) co (n) s (ularis) / cives Traianenses / vslm Crispino et Aeliano cos. ".
