Aluigi, very rare, has a small stock in the Savona area and one in the Pesaro area. Aloigi, very rare, is from the area that includes the Florentine, the Arezzo area and the Pesaro area, and Aluigi, the least rare, has a Genoese stock, one in in Rimini, Coriano and Cattolica, one, the most consistent, in the Pesaro area, in Piobbico, Acqualagna, Fermignano, Urbania, Pesaro, Cagli, Cartoceto, Sant'Angelo in Vado and Fano, one in Città di Castello in Perugia, one in Grosseto in Grosseto, Magliano in Tuscany and Cinigiano, and one in Rome, should all derive from successive alterations of the medieval name Aloisius (see ALLOISE), from which the modern name Luigi was then obtained.
