Alquati is specific to south-eastern Lombardy, Cremona, Casalmorano and Castelverde in the Cremona area, Rivarolo in Mantua in the Mantua area and Rudiano in the Brescia area, it should stand for an ethnic form of ancestors from the town of Castell'Arquato in Piacenza, a use that we also find in Dissertations by Ludovico Muratori: "... Nicolaus de Castello Alquato et Leccacorvus Consules civitatis Placentinae ...".
