BUSAN | BUSANA

Busan, absolutely rare, could be Friulian, Busana seems typical of the Trentino region, but with non-secondary lineages also in the Paduan area and in the Reggio area where it should derive from the toponym Busana (RE), all the other strains, according to an interesting hypothesis derive from the ethnic busii (Gallic population), but it is also possible that they derive from the name Busius, modification of the Germanic name Boso (Bosonis) or Buso (Busonis), or from other localities with a similar name, such as the castle which for example is mentioned by Ammiano Marcellino from the 4th century: "... cum prope castella Romana venisset, quorum unum Reman, alterum Busan appellatur ...".
