Bruzzi, typically Emiliano, has a stoneware and a bolognese, and Bruzzo has an important nucleus in Genoa and one in Gambellara (VI), which may be derived from the toponyms come from Bruzzi Boccolo Noce (PC), but most probably derive it from the Latin name Brutius (pronounced Bruzius) from whom we have given a phrase: "... They are many, several, Iunget Tarentum, and Graecae plagae, Samnisque, Lucanusque, et audax Brutius, Iuncta Quirites oppressing mecum manu ... . ", from the Italian Middle Eastern name Bruzzo. (see Bruzone)
