Cambruzzi, present sporadically in northern Italy, has a Venetian lineage in the Belluno area of Fonzaso, it should derive from a dialectal nickname with reference to the very fine painting called Cambrai, perhaps to indicate that the progenitor was trading it, we find traces of this surname. in the Belluno area at Feltre in 1600, in one act we read: "... Ioannes Cambrutius cancellarius episcopalis feltrensis notarius ...".
