Cobianchi has a Lombard lineage in Milanese and Pavia areas and an Emilian one in Parma and between Bologna and Ferrara and in the Veneto region of Rovigo, Cobianco has a small stock in Milan and an even smaller one in the Rovigoto, should derive from dialectal nicknames attributed to the progenitor, probably hoary, that is from the head (cò) white.
