COMPIERCHIO

Compierchio is specific to Cerignola in the Foggia area, the etymological origin is obscure, we could hypothesize a relationship with an alteration of a French term for godfather, we find traces in the Foggia of this surname already in the early 1600s with the pastor Donato Compierchio.
