Falamischia, absolutely rare, is typical of northern Italy, the etymological origin is obscure, although we can think that it may derive from a medieval nickname referring to a particularly combative ancestor. We find traces of this surname between the men of arms of the Italian leader of 1400 Federico da Montefeltro, Duke of Urbino, in whose ranks his constable (head of the stables) Falamischia da Bagno.
