Faiella has a stock in Rome, one in the L'Aquila area of Introdacqua, Sulmona and Bugnara, a small one in Carpino in the Foggia area and one in Campania in the Salerno area, in Nocera Inferiore, Cava de 'Tirreni, Salerno, Nocera Superiore, Scafati, Angri, San Marzano sul Sarno, Roccapiemonte, Roccadaspide, Battipaglia and Eboli, and in Naples and Capri, Faielli is practically unique and is from Salerno, Faiello has a stock in Naples and in the Salerno area at Battipaglia and Sicignano degli Alburni, and a stock in Locri and Ardore in the Reggio area and in Andali in the Catanzaro area, it could be of French medieval origins and derive from the term franco fajel (beech), or from an alteration of its Occitan equivalent fajol.
