FEDUZI | FEDUZZI

Feduzi has a stock in the Pesaro area of Fermignano, Pesaro and Urbania, and one in Rome, Feduzzi, more rare, should be an altered form of the previous one, which should derive from a medieval nickname derived from the Latin term foedus (covenant of alliance), probably to indicate in the founders of the federated, perhaps of Illyrian or Dalmatian origin, we find traces of these surnames in Rome since the 1700s with a certain Giovanni Feduzi accused of Jacobinism and registered among the suspects by the Roman Republic.
