Firinaiu, absolutely rare, is specific of Gallura, of Olbia in particular, Firinu is also typical of Sardinia, of the area of Oristano and of Narbolia (OR) in particular, should derive from nicknames originating from modifications of the Latin word ferinus (bestial , wild). (see also FERINU)
