Farabone has some presence in northeastern Piedmont and western Lombardy, Faraboni, extremely rare, has a very small stock in Novara, Fraboni has a strain in Bologna and Medicine in Bologna, one in the Marche in Ancona, in Senigallia above all, with very small strains also in Fabriano, Jesi, Corinaldo and Castel Colonna and a stock in the Roman in Rome and in Mentana, they should be of Lombard origin and derive from a name composed by the union of the Lombard term fara (lineage, family, clan) and of the Latin term bona (goods, wealth) with the meaning of the good of the family, the greatest wealth of the lineage.
