GROPPAGLIO

Groppaglio, very very rare, decidedly Lombard, from the south-Milanese and Cremonese area, should derive from a name that has now disappeared, a name probably originated from the Lombard term krupfa (round mass, hill), so it would be argued that the family came from a hilly area, in Lombardy and Piacenza are many places with a similar root.
