Naldi is widespread in the centronord, especially in Emilia and Romagna and in Tuscany, Naldini has a stock in Forlì and Meldola in Forlì and Ravenna and Faenza in Ravenna, and a Tuscan stock in Florence, Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, Figline Valdarno and San Casciano in Val di Pesa in the Florentine, in Siena, in San Giovanni Valdarno, Arezzo and Terranuova Bracciolini in the Arezzo area and in Grosseto, Naldo, much rarer than the previous ones, is typically Venetian from Belluno, from Sospirolo and Belluno, should derive, directly or through a hypocoristic form, from apheretic forms of names like Arnaldo, Rinaldo, or other similar ones, probably brought by the founders.
