NICITA | NICITO | NOCITA | NOCITO

Nicita is typical of eastern Sicily, of Messina, Santa Teresa di Riva, Savoca, Messina and Furci Siculo, of Catania and Ragusa, with a stock also in the Reggio area, Nicito, absolutely rare, it would seem Calabrese, Nocita has a stock in Catania, one in Catanzaro and one in Lecce, Nocito is specific to the Cosenza area, in the area of Sant'Agata Di Esaro (CS) in particular, but it has a strain, probably not secondary, also in Taranto, deriving from the apheresis of the name Anicito and from its variations or directly from the Greek name Nikètes. (see Anicito).
