ORLACCHI | ORLACCHIO

Orlacchi, practically unique, would seem to be due to a transcription error of Orlacchio, which has a small stock at Lanuvio in the Roman and Latina, has a large stock in Benevento, Campoli del Monte Taburno, Cautano, Montesarchio and Foglianise, with presences in Naples and Sala Consilina in the Salerno area, and that should derive from an Italianization of the name of the Germanic city of Orlach in Baden-Württemberg, probably the place of origin of the founders, who perhaps arrived in Italy in the wake of the Swabian emperor.
