Pignalosa has a stock in the Neapolitan dialect in Naples, Portici and Herculaneum, one in Ginosa in the Taranto area and one in Crotone, of obscure etymological origins, it could be an archaic ethnic form to indicate ancestors who came from the town of Pignola in the Potentino.
