Pomili has a log in Grottammare in Ascolano and Morrovalle in Maceratese, and a stump with Fiano Romano in the Roman, Pomilia, very rare, has presences in the Piceno and in the Roman, Pomilio has a strain of Abruzzo in the Teatino ad Archi, Francavilla al Mare, Atessa and Casalanguida, and to Pescara, and a stump in Rome, should derive either from contractions of the Latin name Pompilius, or from the late Latin name Pomilius, Pomilia, derived in turn from an adjective of the apple tree.
