Ranghetti is typical of the area between Milan, Bergamo and Brescia, Ranghetto, absolutely rare, it would seem specific to MaserĂ  of Padua in Padovano, Ranghini, almost unique, is Dell'alessandrino, Ranghino is Piedmontese, Vercelli, Novara and Casale Corte Cerro nel Verbanese, Rangone, very rare, is specific to the Alexandrian, Rangoni is typical of Bolognese, the latter could derive in some cases from the toponym Rangone in Modena, but much more likely should all derive, directly or through Various hypochoristic forms, from the medieval Germanic name Rango, Rangonis, of which we have an example of use in Florence in 1200: "... In some appointments Amen. Tempore nobilium virorum Jacopini Rangonis de Mutine... ", we find traces of this cognominization in 1300, when the Rangoni become feudatories of Modenese lands, property conserved until the Napoleonic era, and they give their noem to the place names Castelnuovo Rangone (MO), Levizzano Rangone (MO), etc.
