SCARSI | SCARSO | SCARZI | SCARZO

Typical of the area between Genovese and Alexandrian scarce, Scarzi and Scarzo, these last absolutely rare and probably originated from errors of transcription, scarce has a strain even in Padua, while scarce seems to have 3 nuclei, one in the Ragusano, one in Padua and one between Genovese and Alexandrian, should derive from a medieval nickname scarsus with the meaning of indigent.
