SCILINI

Absolutely rare, exclusive of Valtellina, derives from a modification of the surname Schilini, now long gone, of which we have traces since 1100 in the diplomatic code of medieval Lombardy in Lodi in the year 1197: "... Manifestavit Barellus, Filius Alberti Schilini, quod illas pound quatuor imperialium, quas anselmus arothi mortgage accepit ab Alberto Caxola, Fuerunt borrowed from Utilitatem eiusdem Barelli ad sanandum debitum... ". Additions provided by Giacomo Ganza/Villa di Tirano (so) the origin of the surname is obscure, but the Scilini have long-standing Valtellina, since the surname is located in Villa di Tirano (so) already in 1700.
