Venaruzzo is typical of the area between Venetian, Pordenone and Udinese, Gruaro and San Michele al Tagliamento in the Venetian, San Vito al Tagliamento in Pordenone and Latisana in Udinese, should derive from an archaic Venetian dialect nickname indicating The milker, however, one cannot exclude a derivation from a hypochoral form of the name Venario, an altered form of the most common veneration.
