VENERUSO

Veneruso, decidedly Neapolitan, is very widespread in Naples, Herculaneum, Portici and San Giorgio a Cremano, but is present in a decidedly significant way also in Volla, Torre del Greco, Casalnuovo of Naples and Pollena Trocchia, should derive from a modification Dialectal Bell of the Late Latin name Venerius (see Venus).
