VISSANI

Quite rare is typical of Macerata, should derive from the name Visso (MC). Integrazionie provided by Giacomo Ganza/Villa di Tirano (SO) the regional surname of Marche, but present though very sporadic in Umbria. It became known thanks to the cook Gianfranco Vissani. In the past, however, the adjective Vissano was attributed to a breed of sheep originally from Visso (MC).
