Etymological origin of Italian surname: Voliani

Voliani is specific to Livorno, it should derive from the name Volianus in use at the Gauls, who had a deity with this name, although according to some the Latin name Volianus would be due to the merger of the Vol-root, Form apocopaic of Volet (wants it), combined with Ianus (Giano), the Roman god of peace and war, the protector of all beginnings.
