ZAGAGLI | ZAGAGLIA

Zagagli, almost unique, it is probably due to an error of transcription of Zagaglia, which is specific of the Anconetano, of Osimo in particular and of Castelfidardo, Falconara Marittima and Filottrano, of San Severino Marche in Macerata and Rome, should derive from Nicknames originated from the term found (sort of spear of African origin), a term already in use in medieval times, probably referred to armed with infantry.
