ZANIGNI

It would be extremely rare to have a strain between Mantovano and Bresciano and one in the Forlivese and Rimini, should derive from the name Zani (John). Additions provided by Renata Cherubini a surname typical of Emilia Romagna in particular of San Mauro Pascoli where most of the Zanigni is located. All the Zanigni are relatives and everyone knows why this surname derives probably from the surname Zani and became Zanigni at most a century, a century and a half ago because of a strange disease of a member of this family.
