ZEFFERI | ZEFFIRI

Zefferi, quite rare, is typically Roman, Zeffiri, absolutely extremely rare, it is of central Italy, it should derive from the medieval name Zefferus derived from the Greek zephuros (light wind or slight breeze, from the name of the Greek god of the winds coming from West), we cite, although we consider it highly unlikely, a possible derivation from the Arab term Shafir (mediator).
