All these surnames have different areas of origin and different derivations ranging from distortions of the Latin name Ambrosius to changes of the Germanic name Boso (declined Bosons) to nicknames originated from the Germanic word böse (superb), derived from toponyms such as Bosi (CN) and (TO), but it is also possible a derivation from nicknames originated from the hypochoristic of the Latin word boscus. We find traces of these surnames in Zogno in Val Brembana as early as the first half of the 1600s with the Vicar Iohannes Baptista Bosellus
