GUZZARDI | GUZZARDO

Both typically Sicilian, Guzzardi typical of southeastern Sicily, Catania and Catania, but with significant stocks also in the Syracuse and Ragusa areas, Guzzardo has a stock in Sambuca di Sicilia (AG) and one in Caccamo (PA), they should derive from the name Norman and then Angevin Goussard, or even from the hypochoric of the Germanic name Gutzen, but it is also possible a derivation from the Germanic name Wiscard, difficult to correlate with the name Breton Gouzerht.
