The members of this family derive from the Cantù branch, Giovanni Battista (1723-1774), doctor of great reputation with his brother Carlo Barnaba (born 1717), canon of the Collegiate Church of S. Paolo in Cantù, a very learned man, by decree of 8 July 1772 by the IR Tribunal of Heralds he obtained recognition of the ancient nobility of his family Giulio Cesare (1769-1828) and Carlo Barnaba (1773-1851), sons of the aforementioned Giovanni Battista are mentioned in the noble lists of 1828 and 1840. The bibliography of this family is mentioned by the Marquis Vittorio Spreti, in his Enciclopedia Storico-Nobiliare Italiana printed in Milan in 1936.
