Ancient and notable Italian family, originally from Veneto region, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. Tradition has it that it descends from a branch of the noble Corporese family of Dalmatia. In the 15th century, Dalmatia became part of the Venetian Republic and contacts between families in those areas started to be more and more frequent.
