The family who left Aquileja at the time of Attila's raids, settled in Grado, who built and took its name. Anna, his daughter, was the wife of Giacomo da Carrara, lord of Padua. Bartolomeo, di Angelo, was elected doge on 7 Sept. 1339 and died on December 28th. 1342. Giovanni, called Nasone, of Marino, elected doge in 1355, died in 1356. Branch known as Rio Mari: Bartolomeo I Girolamo, of Bartolomeo I Pietro, had the confirmation of the nobility with Sovereign Austrian Resolution 30 November 1817 and was elevated to rank of AI count with Austrian Sovereign Resolution 29 September 1818.
