In 1470 (January 1), Marco and Leonello Pio, lords of Carpi, released to Antonio di Paolo Bagassi a diploma with which his "Castellania" was granted to his family, which was a kind of higher and more distinct citizenship than if they were given to people of merit and trustworthy de 'Principi.
