Widespread throughout Italy, but particularly in the provinces of Milan, Cremona, Venice and Brindisi Brocca, Brocchetta Pavia, Brocchi is typical of Tuscany, Romagna, Urbinate and upper Lazio, of the Arezzo area in particular, typical of the provinces of Milan and Cremona Brocchieri, while Brocchiero, very very rare, is specific of the Cuneo area, of Verzuolo in particular, Brocco has a Venetian lineage, one from Abruzzo and Lazio from Formia (LT), Veroli (FR) and Rome, from Trieste Brochetta, all these surnames have different origins that they range from the nickname linked to the word brocchia (vase with the spout) relative to table service, to bucularius (squire) through the Spanish transformation into broquer, to the Celtic word brocc (to be pointed) relative to physical characteristics of the place of residence or family origin.
