Camus is almost unique, Camussi, very very rare, it is typical of the area that includes the Milanese, the Pavia and the Alessandria area, Camusso, decidedly more widespread, is specific of the Turin area, of Pinerolo, Turin, Cumiana, San Secondo di Pinerolo, San Pietro Val Lemina and Perosa Argentina, in some cases could derive from the French surname Camus, but in all cases they should derive from nicknames originating from the fact that the progenitors had a snub nose.
