CUPOLO

Cupolo is typical of Sicignano degli Alburni in the Salerno area and above all of Sant'Angelo le Fratte in the Potentino area, it could derive from the name of towns such as Sant'Angelo a Cupolo in the Benevento area, or in the district of Cupolo near Aversa in the Caserta area, but most probably it derives from names of localities such as Cupolo di Castelmezzano in the Potentino, or Aia del Cupolo always in the Potentino, probable countries of origin of the progenitor.
