FERIOZZI

Feriozzi has a stock in the Piceno area in San Benedetto del Tronto, Ascoli Piceno, Colli del Tronto and Castel di Lama, and in the nearby Abruzzo, and a stock in Rome and Orte in the Viterbo area, it could derive from an Italianization of the Latin name Fereolus, name of a soldier martyred in the third century, a possible derivation from the French surname Fériaux (pronounced Feriò) cannot be excluded.
