Cogoi is typical of the lower part of Udine, of Muzzana del Turgnano, Lestizza, Mortegliano and Manzano, is also present in Trieste, Kogoj is typical of Gorizia and Savogna d`Isonzo (GO), Kogoi is present instead in the Udine area, it could derive from the word friulano cogói sort of hemp net for catching freshwater fish.
