PASQUALATO | PASQUALATTO

Pasqualato is typically Venetian, from Venice, Marcon, Spinea, Mira and Martellago in the Venetian dialect, from Treviso and Mogliano Veneto in the Treviso area and from Monselice in the Paduan area, Pasqualatto, almost unique, would seem to be Friulian, due to the origin of these surnames, two hypothesis, both identifiable by the presence of the suffix -ato indicating provenance or belonging, the former proposes a derivation from the name of the town Cà Pasquali in the Venetian dialect, the latter suggests a derivation from progenitors whose fathers had called themselves Pasquale.
