PENNESE | PENNESI

Pennese ga a stock in Lazio especially in Rome and Segni (RM) and an important one in Pescara, Pennesi would seem typical of the area that includes the provinces of Macerata and Ascoli Piceno, with a stock also in Rome, should derive from the ethnic toponym Penne (PE) or Penne (AP) additions and coat of arms supplied by Marcello Pennese The surname Pennese is one of the new founders of Borbona (Ri) (beginning of the 1300s as shown by the 1860 manuscript of the archpriest Anzidei of Borbona - APB1) and is indicated and cataloged with the word "forestieri". This suggests that the Pennese came from territories far from the area to which Borbona belonged. Except for this quotation, it should be noted that this surname is not indicated, at least in the documents known to me so far, for a long period of almost 350 years.
