According to Cirillo Ruffoni this family would be of distant Como origins: it would derive from the Brocchi family from Como, but that would have existed in Rasura since 1200. In the old documents already in 1465 there is a Pietrino called Piganzolo, from the Brocchi branch. An inhabited nucleus of Rasure, Cà di Piganzoli is reported in the book of the estima of 1657. Piganzoli probably derives from a nickname of Rasura "indecipherable"
