Pilutti is a Friulian surname of Udine, of Latisana, Rivignano and Udine, with a small lineage also in Venice, it should be a characteristic Friulian patronymic form, where the suffix -utti stands for the son of, referring to a progenitor whose father it was called Pilo, which in turn should derive from the Latin cognomen Pilo, Pilonis.
