Rebollo, very very rare, is typical of the Neapolitan, could derive from the medieval Lombard name Rebollus of which we have an example in the diplomatic code of medieval Lombardy in a Cartula investiture controversy of the year 1194 in Pavia: "... Donna Paciencia, Donna Leticia, Sororibus suis, apart from Ipsius monasterii investivit sozonem rebollum de tercia porcione Pro undivided Totius Illius terre supra quam sunt vites, que remansit suprascripto monasterio citra fossatum prope sanctum gervasium... "But Much more likely it is of Spanish descent and derives from the surname Rebollo in turn derived from Spanish place-names as Rebollo in the province of Segovia or Rebollo de Duero in Castilla y León or other similar.
