SANTIROCCO | SANTOROCCO

Santirocco, very rare, it has a small strain in San Benedetto del Tronto in the Aquilano and Teatino and in Rome, Santorocco, almost unique, is from the south of Sicily, could derive from the name of the various countries called San Rocco, as they exist in the Teatino, in Teramano, or contrade, churches or parishes always dedicated to that saint, even if it can not be excluded that, in some cases, may derive from the founder who had brought the name composed of the names Sante or Saint and Rocco.
