SAPETTI

Sapetti, very very rare, is Piedmontese, Cuneo and Turin, could derive from a dialect nickname based on the northern Word dialect sapètt (small hoe), perhaps used to identify in the ancestor a horticulturist, but according to another Hypothesis may derive from the Late Latin word sapetum (Abetaia, Fir Grove) and indicate the origin of the ancestor from a place rich in fir trees.
