MORESCHI | MORESCO | MORISCHI | MORISCO

Moreschi has an important nucleus in Brescia and a small probable stock in the Macerata area, Moresco has a nucleus between Genoa and Bargagli (GE) and one in the Vicenza area between Marostica, Breganze, Sandrig, Molvena and Mason Vicentino, a stock in the Cuneo area between Montà and Barge and one in the Chieti area, Morisco seems to originate from the Bari area, Morischi is almost unique, they can all derive from the Italian medieval name Morus, but, in some cases, it can mean a descent or a connection with the Saracens therefore deriving from the Spanish Moriscos (the Moors of Spain) .. There are traces of a Girolamo Moreschi, President of the Supreme Council of Piacenza, who with the deed of the notary Gabriele Cattanei of 6 March 1610, left his Piacenza heir to his universal heir.
