PUTZOLU | PUTZULU

Both typically Sardinian, of Cagliari in particular Putzolu, but present throughout the island, Putzulu is pansardo with stumps to Sedilo in Oristanese, Sassari, Orotelli in Nuoro and Cagliari, should derive from an ancient name Gallurian called Pussolo. Additions provided by Giuseppe Concas PUTZOLU: Small Well, from the Latin puteolus, but it can also mean ceramic vessel for water, synonymous with Màriga or congiàli.
